Skin rejuvenation and anti-ageing care in Munich

Fresh skin at every stage of life.

Does your skin look tired, drier, or has it lost firmness? At our gynaecology practice in Munich, we put together individual anti-ageing plans – from hyaluronic acid, mesotherapy, fruit acid peel, PRP for the skin and infusions. We also look at hormones and stage of life, because skin ageing does not begin on the surface alone.

When to come to us

How you notice skin ageing

Tired, dull skin

Your complexion looks grey and dull even when you are well rested; the fresh glow of earlier years is missing.

Dryness and tightness

Your skin feels tight, needs more care than it used to and is losing elasticity – often noticeably from the menopause onwards.

Wrinkles and loss of volume

Lines around the eyes and mouth become deeper, cheeks look flatter, contours softer.

Uneven complexion

Pigment spots, larger pores or a rougher skin texture make your complexion look uneven.

Our approach

Our approach to skin rejuvenation and anti-ageing

For us, skin rejuvenation does not mean hiding age but supporting the skin well at every stage of life. We begin with a detailed conversation about your wishes, your skincare, your lifestyle and your health. As a gynaecology practice, we take hormones, the thyroid and nutrient supply into account, because they shape the skin's moisture, firmness and radiance. From this comes an individual plan: components that work on the skin, such as fruit acid peel, hyaluronic acid, mesotherapy or PRP, and components that are intended to work from within, such as anti-ageing infusions. The aim is fresh, well-kept skin that suits you.

An honest assessment

Mesotherapy, PRP and anti-ageing infusions are complementary methods whose effectiveness has not been scientifically proven for every application; skin ageing cannot be stopped, and results are individual – what makes sense for you, we discuss openly.

Careful and personal

The components of your plan

01

Advice and skin analysis

A detailed conversation about your wishes, skincare, lifestyle and health; a look at your skin type, moisture and firmness; if needed, laboratory tests of hormones and nutrients.

02

Hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid binds water. Used in a targeted way, it is intended to smooth wrinkles and compensate for loss of volume or, finely distributed, to support the skin's moisture.

03

Mesotherapy

Fine injections of selected active ingredients into the upper layers of the skin. The method is based on the idea of supplying the skin precisely where it needs it.

04

Fruit acid peel

Fruit acids loosen dead skin cells. The aim is a finer-looking complexion and stimulated skin renewal.

05

PRP for the skin

Platelet-rich plasma from your own blood is introduced into the skin. The aim is to stimulate the body's own regeneration processes and collagen formation.

06

Anti-ageing infusions

Individually composed infusions with vitamins, minerals or amino acids, intended to support cell health and well-being as a complementary measure.

  • Tired, dry or dull skin
  • First wrinkles and declining firmness
  • Skin changes during or after the menopause

When a different approach is needed

New, growing or bleeding skin changes and unusual moles should first be checked by a dermatologist. Acne, rosacea or eczema are treated by a dermatologist. During pregnancy and breastfeeding we usually postpone aesthetic treatments.

In four steps

How your skin rejuvenation treatment works

  1. Book an appointment

By phone on 089 299655 or online via Doctolib. You are welcome to bring a list of your skincare products and medication.

  2. Conversation and skin analysis

We discuss your wishes, skincare and health, examine your skin and consider whether laboratory tests of hormones or nutrients would be useful.

  3. Your anti-ageing plan

Together we decide which components fit in which order, what you can realistically expect and what the costs will be.

  4. Treatment and support

We treat step by step, observe how your skin responds and adjust the plan if needed.

Transparent from the start

Costs and health insurance

Skin rejuvenation treatments are aesthetic services and are generally self-pay, including for patients with private health insurance. We bill under the German fee schedule for doctors (GOÄ). The costs depend on which components your plan includes and how many treatments are needed. Laboratory tests that are medically necessary are billed through your health insurance, depending on your insurance status. Before any treatment, you will be told what the costs will be.

How skin ages

Skin ageing has two sides. Intrinsic ageing is determined by genetics and hormones: over the years, skin cells divide more slowly, and the body produces less collagen, elastic fibres and hyaluronic acid. The skin becomes thinner, drier and less firm. Extrinsic ageing is caused by external influences – above all UV light, but also smoking, air pollutants, stress, lack of sleep and a one-sided diet. It shows in pigment spots, a rougher texture and deeper wrinkles. You have a great deal of influence over these external factors yourself. That is why sun protection and lifestyle are part of every anti-ageing plan, no matter which treatments you choose.

Hormones and skin: a gynaecologist's perspective

Oestrogens promote the formation of collagen and hyaluronic acid, blood flow and the moisture of the skin. During the menopause their levels fall, and many women notice that their skin becomes drier, thinner and more sensitive in a short time. An underactive thyroid, for example in Hashimoto's, can also make the skin look dry and dull. We take these connections into account: for menopausal symptoms, we also discuss options such as natural hormone therapy. Prof. Schulte-Uebbing has carried out scientific work on DHEA, among other things – a precursor hormone that is discussed in anti-ageing medicine – and on vitamin D in the menopause and in anti-ageing medicine.

The components at a glance

Each component works in a different place. The fruit acid peel works on the surface: it loosens dead skin cells and aims for a finer-looking complexion. Hyaluronic acid binds water and is intended to smooth wrinkles or compensate for loss of volume. Mesotherapy is based on the idea of delivering active ingredients with fine injections specifically into the upper layers of the skin. PRP for the skin uses components of your own blood with the aim of stimulating regeneration processes. Anti-ageing infusions are intended to supply the body with vital nutrients as a complement. Which combination makes sense depends on your skin and your goals – more components do not automatically mean a better result.

Skin renewal, a fresh complexion, glow

Many women mainly wish for three things: skin that renews itself well, an even complexion with more radiance, and a fresh, revitalised look, often called “glow”. Skin renews itself, but more slowly over the years. Anti-ageing plans are intended to support a fresh, youthful-looking appearance; skin rejuvenation aims at better skin structure and a radiant complexion – not at changing your face. A fresh complexion results from many factors: moisture, a smooth surface, even pigmentation and good blood flow. That is why we combine treatments on the skin with skincare, sun protection and attention to your health.

Skincare and everyday life

You can do a great deal for your skin yourself: daily sun protection, even in winter, enough sleep, not smoking, exercise and a diet rich in vegetables, fruit and good-quality fats. Choose gentle products for your skincare. Our practice is perfume-free because fragrances can trigger allergies and are suspected of putting a strain on the hormone system – Prof. Schulte-Uebbing has published scientific work on this. Especially after a peel or after injections, fragrance-free care is a good choice for irritated skin. If you wish, we will advise you on which skincare suits your plan.

Good questions. Clear answers.

Frequently asked questions about skin rejuvenation and anti-ageing

Can't find your question? Give us a call – we will take the time.

At what age does skin rejuvenation make sense?

There is no fixed age limit. What matters is the condition of your skin and your wishes. In younger years, sun protection, good skincare and the occasional peel are often the focus; later, treatments for loss of volume or dryness are added. During the menopause, it is also worth looking at your hormones. In a consultation we clarify what is right for you.

Which treatment is right for me?

That depends on your concern. For dull skin and fine lines, a fruit acid peel is often the starting point; for wrinkles and loss of volume, more often hyaluronic acid. Mesotherapy and PRP for the skin are complementary methods intended to stimulate regeneration; infusions work from within. We explain the possibilities and limits and put a plan together with you.

When will I see results?

This varies depending on the treatment. With hyaluronic acid, a change is usually visible straight away; with a peel, mesotherapy or PRP it develops – if it occurs – over several treatments. How clearly your skin responds is individual. We therefore do not promise specific results, but honestly discuss what you can expect.

Can I combine several treatments?

Yes, this often makes sense because the individual components work in different ways. The right order and sufficient intervals are important so that your skin can recover between treatments. More treatments do not automatically mean a better result – we prefer to plan with purpose rather than do a lot.

What can I do for my skin myself?

A great deal: daily sun protection, not smoking, enough sleep, exercise and a balanced diet. Use gentle, preferably fragrance-free skincare that suits your skin type, and drink enough water. These basics are part of every anti-ageing plan – with or without treatment at the practice.

Does the menopause play a role?

Yes. As oestrogen levels fall, the skin often changes noticeably: it becomes drier, thinner and loses firmness. As a gynaecology practice, we can put these changes into context and, alongside aesthetic treatments, also talk about menopausal symptoms and natural hormone therapy. Whether hormone therapy is an option for you depends on your health and medical history.

What is the difference between hyaluronic acid and PRP?

Hyaluronic acid is a gel that binds water and is intended to smooth wrinkles or compensate for loss of volume; a change is usually visible straight away. For PRP, platelet-rich plasma is obtained from your own blood and introduced into the skin. The aim is to stimulate the body's own regeneration processes. The effectiveness of PRP for the skin has not been conclusively proven scientifically; we discuss this openly.

Does health insurance cover the costs?

Aesthetic skin rejuvenation treatments are generally self-pay services billed under the German fee schedule for doctors (GOÄ). Medically necessary examinations, for example when a thyroid condition is suspected, are billed through your health insurance depending on your insurance status. Before any treatment, we will tell you what the costs will be.
