Take exhaustion seriously. Investigate the causes thoroughly.
Have you been tired, exhausted or under heavy strain for weeks? We take this seriously and look for the causes first. We then put together strengthening infusions with vitamins, minerals and amino acids individually – as a medically supported complement at our practice in Munich's old town.

When to come to us
You have been tired and lacking drive for some time despite getting enough sleep, and you would like the causes thoroughly investigated.
You have been through an infection, an operation or a serious illness and would like medical support for your recovery.
Work, family or caring responsibilities demand a lot of you, and you would like complementary support for your resilience.
Since a coronavirus infection you have less resilience, difficulty concentrating or feel permanently exhausted.
Our approach
Tiredness and exhaustion have many possible causes. These include a thyroid condition such as Hashimoto's disease, anaemia, hormonal changes, nutrient deficiencies or environmental burdens. That is why we start with a detailed conversation and, if needed, laboratory tests. Only when we have a picture of your situation do we put together a strengthening infusion. It can contain vitamins, minerals and amino acids. In doing so we combine conventional medicine and naturopathy and keep the causes in view, not just the symptoms.
We see strengthening infusions as a complement to guideline-based investigation and treatment – not as a replacement. Their effectiveness has not been scientifically proven for every use; we will discuss openly what makes sense in your situation.
Careful and personal
We ask about sleep, mood, cycle, diet, infections and stresses. This helps us narrow down where your tiredness may be coming from.
If needed, we measure blood levels, for example of iron, thyroid, hormones, vitamins and minerals.
Power or energy infusions are intended for times when you want more energy, vitality and resilience in everyday life.
The approach targets the mitochondria, the powerhouses of the cells. Selected micronutrients are intended to support their energy production.
Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. We put together individual amino acid infusions based on your results.
We discuss progress with you and, if needed, add further components, for example for sleep, diet or exercise.
From research
Over more than four decades, more than 400 scientific publications have been written – on gynaecology, oncology, environmental medicine, hormones, immunology and naturopathy. This knowledge informs every consultation with your gynaecologist in Munich.

Is this right for me?
Sudden severe exhaustion with shortness of breath, chest pain or high fever needs to be assessed by a doctor immediately. In that case, contact the on-call medical service on 116 117 or, in an emergency, call 112. During pregnancy and with kidney or heart disease, we first clarify whether an infusion is an option.
In four steps
You can book your appointment by phone on 089 299655 or online via Doctolib. Please feel free to bring any existing results.
We take time for your history and your symptoms. If needed, we examine you and take a blood sample.
Based on the results, we discuss whether a strengthening infusion makes sense, what it contains and what costs arise.
You receive the infusion at our practice. As we go along, we discuss how you are doing and what makes sense next.
Transparent from the start
Strengthening infusions are generally self-pay services and are billed under the German Fee Schedule for Physicians (GOÄ). Whether individual examinations, for example of the thyroid, are covered by your health insurer depends on the reason and on your insurance status. Private health insurers reimburse infusions in part, depending on the plan. We will tell you before treatment what costs will arise.

Expertise, clearly explained
The background in detail – click to expand.
Persistent tiredness is a symptom with many possible causes. These include iron deficiency and anaemia, an underactive thyroid such as in Hashimoto's disease, and hormonal changes during the menopause. A lack of vitamin D or vitamin B12 is also possible. Sleep disorders, low mood, the after-effects of infections such as Long Covid, medication and environmental burdens can also play a role. Prof. Schulte-Uebbing has pointed to such connections, for example in the article “Depressive moods, tiredness, poor performance – Hashimoto's disease: an often overlooked, important (partial) cause” (gyn, 2014). That is why we first clarify where your tiredness comes from. Only then do we decide whether a strengthening infusion is a sensible component.
Mitochondria are tiny components in almost every body cell. They obtain from nutrients and oxygen the energy that the cell needs for its work. For this they need various micronutrients, such as B vitamins, magnesium or coenzyme Q10. Mitochondrial therapy is based on the idea that disturbed energy production in the cells can contribute to exhaustion. The aim is to supply the cells with the micronutrients that matter for this. The approach comes from complementary medicine and is not part of medical guidelines. Its benefit is not sufficiently proven scientifically. We discuss openly with you whether it is an option for you.
Amino acids are the building blocks from which the body makes proteins: muscles, enzymes, immune substances and many messenger substances. The body can make some amino acids itself, while others it must take in through food. In hospitals, amino acid infusions are an established part of artificial nutrition. In complementary medicine, individually composed amino acid infusions are used as a complement, for example for exhaustion or in stressful phases of life. Their benefit there has not been scientifically proven for every use. Prof. Schulte-Uebbing has worked on amino acids scientifically, including in the article “A word on integrative gynaecology: disease prevention with amino acids” (Gyn, 2022).
Power or energy infusions are intended for phases in which you have to perform a lot and want more resilience. They do not replace sleep and rest, nor a balanced diet and exercise, however. We cannot promise an increase in performance, as everyone reacts differently. If exhaustion persists, that is a signal to look more closely – for example at sleep, stress, hormones or thyroid. That is why we combine the infusion with a conversation about your everyday life and possible causes. If you are an athlete subject to doping controls, please tell us beforehand: infusions are restricted under anti-doping rules.
During or after cancer treatment, some patients want complementary support. Strengthening infusions can be one component – always as a complement and never as a replacement for cancer treatment. Some vital nutrients can interact with chemotherapy or radiotherapy. That is why we coordinate timing and composition with your treating oncologists. Please bring recent doctors' letters and your treatment plan. Among other things, Prof. Schulte-Uebbing specialises in gynaecological oncology and breast cancer at his practice. Extended breast cancer therapy and aftercare is one of the main areas of focus of our practice.

A vitamin infusion is aimed mainly at correcting a deficiency of vitamins or minerals. Strengthening infusions are broader: they can additionally contain amino acids and substances involved in the cells' energy production. They are aimed at patients with tiredness, exhaustion or heavy strain. We determine the exact composition individually.
That cannot be predicted. How you experience an infusion is individual and also depends on the causes of your exhaustion. We discuss progress together. If you notice no change, we keep looking for reasons instead of simply giving more infusions.
Strengthening infusions are generally self-pay services under the German Fee Schedule for Physicians (GOÄ). Private health insurers reimburse in part, depending on the plan and findings. Examinations with a medical reason, for example of the thyroid, are billed according to your insurance status. We will tell you before treatment what costs will arise.
We decide this together. Sometimes a single infusion is enough; in other cases we discuss a series of appointments. What matters are your results, your level of strain and how you are doing over time. Follow-up results help us adjust the plan.
So far there is no infusion with a scientifically proven effect for Long Covid. Some patients nevertheless want complementary support for exhaustion and reduced resilience. In that case a strengthening infusion can be one component – together with investigation, the right balance of rest and other therapies. You can read more on our Long Covid page.
This is possible, but only in coordination with your treating oncologists. Some vital nutrients can interact with chemotherapy or radiotherapy, so timing and composition matter. A strengthening infusion complements your cancer treatment; it never replaces it. Please bring your current treatment plan.
During pregnancy and breastfeeding we are cautious about strengthening infusions. Tiredness is common in pregnancy and often has its own causes, for example iron deficiency. We investigate the causes and discuss with you what treatment is then suitable.
Please bring any existing laboratory results, doctors' letters and a list of your medicines and supplements. A short note on how long you have felt exhausted and what makes your symptoms better or worse is also helpful. Patients with statutory health insurance, please bring your insurance card.
